Diplomats Take Second at Invitational

LANCASTER, Pa – Franklin & Marshall women's swim team finished second in the F&M Invitational Sunday afternoon. The Diplomats posted 571 points while Kutztown ran away with the title with 713.5 points.

Olivia Hill was highest finisher for F&M taking second in the 1,650 free with a 17:53.70. Emily Zacherl (18:10.56) was third, Caitlyn Fuller (18:35.99) fourth, Maggie Johns (18:40.32) sixth and Garland Barlett (18:56.31) eighth.

Krista Hollingsworth took fifth in the 200 back with a 2:15.69. Ana Franzluebbers (55.15) and Rebecca Daen (55.50) finished third and sixth for the Diplomats in the 100 free. Franzluebbers, DeCrosta, Daen and Hollingsworth teamed to place third in the 400 medley relay.

Katherine DeCrosta finished fifth in the 200 breast with a 2:33.90. Zacherl was sixth in the 200 butterfly with a 2:16.68.

Gettysburg was third in the team standings with 474.5 followed by St. Mary's (341) and Susquehanna (321).

The Diplomats return to the pool Jan. 21 when they host McDaniel at 6 p.m.
