Four Diplomats Advance to Day Three Finals

LANCASTER, Pa. – Four members of the Franklin & Marshall women's swimming team advanced into day three finals at the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships. The Diplomats currently sit in third place overall with 376.5 points, trailing the leader, Ursinus with 424.

Taylor Mateja earned a spot in the finals for tonight's 200-yard backstroke with a seventh-place finish at 2:14.37. Caitlyn Fuller moved on to the consolations after swimming the 16th-fastest time at 2:18.31.

In the 100-yard freestyle, Krista Hollingsworth was the lone Diplomat to qualify for tonight's 100-yard freestyle final, touching the wall at 54.13. Rebecca Citti finished the 200-yard breaststroke with the seventh-fastest time at 2:32.53.

Maggie Johns had a strong showing in the 200-yard butterfly, finishing the event with the fourth-fastest time at 2:13.84. Stephanie Brooks advanced to consolations after finishing 11th at 2:17.65.

A CC Champion will be crowned tonight at 6:00 p.m. with finals for the 1,650-yard freestyle, 200-yard backstroke, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard breaststroke, 200-yard butterfly and the 400-yard freestyle relay.
