Diplomats Advance Five into Finals

LANCASTER, Pa. – Five members of the Franklin & Marshall women's swimming team advanced into Friday night's day one final at the 2014 Centennial Conference (CC) Championships.

In the first event of the day, the 500-yard freestyle, F&M's Katie Grant advanced to tonight's final with a first-place time of 5:03.62, while Maggie Johns (5:08.95) also advanced with a fifth place finish. Alexia Tomlinson (5:14.25) and Leeza Rojas (5:23.07) advanced to the consolations.

Courtney Collins advanced to the 200-yard individual medley final with a time of 2:13.72, while Caitlyn Fuller (2:16.70) advanced to the consolations.

The Diplomats placed two swimmers into tonight's 50-yard freestyle final as Rebecca Daen (24.59) placed fourth and Jillian Albus (24.66) placed seventh. Taylor Mateja advanced to the consolations with a time of 25.32.

The finals will be held tonight at 7:00 p.m., where champions will be crowned in the 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard individual medley, 50-yard freestyle, and 400-yard medley relay.
