LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Becca Meyers was named Centennial Conference (CC) Women's Swimmer of the Week announced Monday. The honor is the first of Meyers' career and first this season for the women's swimming program.
Meyers placed first in three events to lead F&M to victory on Saturday afternoon. The sophomore touched the wall first in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:33.51, followed by a win in the 200-yard butterfly at 2:14.12. She wrapped up the day by finishing first in the 500-yard freestyle, touching the wall at 5:10.00.
F&M knocked off a previously undefeated Susquehanna team 145-117 in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon. The Diplomats improved to 4-1, while the Crusaders suffered their first loss of the season and fell 5-1.
F&M returns to the pool on Friday when the Diplomats play host to McDaniel at 6:00 p.m.
