SHENENDOAH, Texas – Bridget Dromerick's time of 4:55.65 in the 500-yard freestyle at the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships last month earned her a spot at the NCAA Championship after qualifying with the eighth-best time in the country. This is the third year in a row that a Diplomat swimmer will be represented at NCAA's, as Katherine Grant qualified in 2013 and 2014.
The Championship will be held at the CISD Natatorium in Shenendoah, Texas and runs from March 18-21, with preliminaries at 10:00 a.m. and finals at 6:00 p.m. each day.
In addition to competing in the 500-yard freestyle, the freshman will also swim in the 200-yard backstroke (seeded 26th) and the 200-yard freestyle (seeded 32nd). At the CC Champs, Dromerick won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:04.33 and earned silver in the 200-yard freestyle at 1:53.00. For her efforts, Dromerick was named the CC's Most Outstanding Performer and Most Outstanding Rookie.

The 500-yard freestyle takes place Wednesday and is the first event of the day, with prelims at 10:00 a.m. and finals at 6:00 p.m. The 200-yard freestyle is Thursday at 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., while the 200-yard backstroke will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
