HAVERFORD, Pa. -- For the second week in a row, the Franklin & Marshall women's 4x400 relay team set a conference mark. Megan Hunter and Sheena Crawley collected two top-five finishes each to lead the Franklin & Marshall women's indoor track and field team to a fifth- place finish at the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships.
Caitlin Regan, Henley Siegrist, Crawley, and Hunter came together for a 4x400 relay first place-finish of 4:01.41, 10 seconds ahead of second place Haverford. The time broke the previous CC record that the squad set on February 20. The 4x200-meter relay squad of Siegrist, Hunter, Regan, and Ariel Lefkovits claimed third, running for a time of 1:48.82.
Hunter took home second in the 400-meter dash, clocking in at 58.96 seconds. Alexandra Faust from Muhlenberg earned first in 58.71 seconds. Hunter nabbed fifth place in the 200-meter dash, crossing the line in 27.03 seconds. Faust claimed first place again with a time of 26.37 seconds.
The Diplomats also received points in the distance events. In the 800-meter run, Sheena Crawley placed third with a time of 2:19.17. Regan followed in a close third, coming in at 2:19.59. Crawley ran a time of 5:13.88 to earn third place in the one mile run.
Overall F&M placed fifth in the meet with 66 points. Haverford took home first place with a combined total of 148 points.
