KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Megan Hunter and Sheena Crawley both set school records Friday evening at the Golden Bear Invite hosted by Kutztown University. The invitational was a non-team scoring event and featured athletes from divisions two and three.
Hunter finished first in the 500-meter dash and broke her own school record in the process. She finished at 1:19.85, two seconds faster then she ran in 2007. Crawley finished first in the mile. She crossed the line at 5:11.23 breaking Stephanie Stroud's '00 school record of 5:24.22.
Crawley, Hunter, Regan teamed up with Hannah Westlake in the 4x400-meter relay. The team placed first, crossing the finish line at 4:11.16. Caitlin Regan finished second in the 400-meter (1:02.66) while Henley Siegrist took third in 200-meter, finishing at 28.56.
The Diplomats had a good showing in the field events with four athletes placing in the top-ten. Sylvia Zohrabian finished sixth in the pole vault (9'-00.25"), Kristen Marinaccio placed seventh in the long jump (15'-2.25"), Martha Stefaniak took third in the shot put (34'-2.25") and Westlake finished sixth in the high jump (4'-10.5")
F&M returns to action on January 23rd when the Diplomats travel to Susquehanna. Meet time is scheduled for 10:00 am.
