SUSQUEHANNA, Pa. – Several Diplomats earned top honors at the Susquehanna Invitational indoor track and field meet Saturday. Leading the women was Megan Hunter, who won the 400-meter dash out of 38 runners with a time of 1:00.29.
Hunter also claimed third place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.23 seconds, behind first place finisher Susan Bochnovich from Misericordia. Henley Siegrist finished in a close seventh in 27.51.
The 4x400-meter relay team garnered first place out of 19 teams, clocking in at 4:10.80. Sheena Crawley and Caitlin Regan placed first and third, respectively, in the 800-meter run. Crawley ran a time of 2:19.62, and Regan finished in 2:23.20.
In the long jump, Kristin Stam jumped a distance of 4.87 meters to earn fifth place, followed by Catherine Westerduin, who finished sixth with a distance of 4.86 meters. Jessica Gibbs from Lynchburg won the long jump with a distance of 5.23 meters. Sylvia Zohrabian placed fifth in the pole vault, clearing a height of 2.74 meters. Ellie MacKintosh won the event with a height of 3.20 meters.
Franklin & Marshall returns to action on February 20 when the squad travels to Princeton. This will be the final meet before the Centennial Conference Championships.
