GRINNELL, Iowa – Sheena Crawley took fifth at the National Indoor Track and Field Championship meet on Saturday. Crawley finished the mile with a 4:55.91. Christy Cazzola from Wisconsin-Oshkosh took the top spot finishing with a 4:51.99.
The junior earned her third All-America honors and became the second Diplomat to earn the honor three times, joining Amanda Shaw who won three from 1985-1987.
Crawley, who was just named the Mideast Region Track Athlete of the Year, was the only Diplomat to qualify for the national meet this season. She qualified for Saturday's final with a preliminary time of 4:58.96 on Friday.
