LANCASTER, Pa. - Sheena Crawley and Rebecca Swisher have been named the Centennial Conference (CC) Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week announced Tuesday. This marks the fourth consecutive week that at least one Diplomat has received the accolade.
Crawley earns CC Track Athlete of the Week honors for the third time of the indoor season. The senior reset her own school and CC records in the mile at the Bucknell Winter Classic, crossing in 4:52.18 to place first in a field of 40 competitors. She also took sixth in the 500-meters with a time of 1:21.58.
Swisher was named the CC Field Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row after a record-setting performance in the pole vault at the Bucknell Winter Classic. The freshman vaulted to a height of 11'-3.75" to tie for first and reset her own school record. She previously set the school mark at the Kutztown Invitational on Jan. 11.
The Diplomats are back in action this Saturday as they host the Coach I Open at the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center.
