Crawley and Swisher Capture Gold

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Sheena Crawley and Rebecca Swisher took first to pace Franklin & Marshall at the Centennial Conference (CC) championship hosted by Ursinus.  The Diplomats took sixth out of 10 teams with 55 points and Johns Hopkins took home the title with 231 points.  

Crawley ran 4:57.82 in the mile to claim her gold and took second the in 800-meter at 2:16.38.  The senior joined Ariel Lefkovits, Kristen Marinaccio and Sylvia Zohrabian in the 4x400 relay. The team finished sixth with a time of 4:15.27.  

Swisher reset her school mark in the pole vault and placed first with a height of 11'-10", four inches better than the next competitor.  

Livia Meneghin picked up a bronze in the shot put at 39'-1.0" and Martha Stefaniak threw for 35'-9.5" to take eighth.  Morgan Gray finished eighth in the triple jump with a distance of 33'-6.75". 

Samantha Walmer placed fifth in the 60-meter hurdles at 9.84 and Lefkovits took seventh in the 400-meter with a time of 1:02.45.  

Samantha Greenberg nabbed sixth in the pentathlon with a total of 2,443 to add three points to the Diplomats' score. Greenberg took seventh in the 60 meter hurdles (10.56) and 800 meters (2:38.33).

The meet concluded the indoor portion of the F&M schedule with select members waiting to hear if they qualified for nationals.
