SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Maya Jackson placed third in the discus throw to headline the Franklin & Marshall women's track & field team on day two of the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships on Saturday hosted by Swarthmore. The Diplomats sit in seventh place with 19 points, while Dickinson leads with 61 followed by Johns Hopkins with 37 and Swarthmore with 33.
Jackson's distance of 125' in the discus was good for the bronze medal, while Livia Meneghin placed 12th with a throw of 102'-01".
In the 100-meter hurdles, Samantha Walmer placed seventh in the preliminary event with a time of 16.90 to advance to tomorrow's final while Walmer and Samantha Greenberg narrowly missed out on qualifying for the 400-meter hurdles.
Morgan Gray placed eighth in the long jump with a distance of 16'-01.50" to qualify for tomorrow's final to finish up the day for F&M.
The Diplomats will conclude the CC Championships tomorrow.
