F&M Throwers Active in West Chester

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The throwers of the Franklin & Marshall women's track team returned to action on Saturday at the Golden Ram Invitational. The competition was the second of the spring for the Diplomats, who are preparing for the Little Three Meet this coming weekend. 

The first test of the day was the shot put, where freshman Lindsey Powers led F&M by taking eleventh with a heave of 9.16 meters. Najee Mendes placed 14th with a distance of 6.10 meters.

Powers also turned in a strong performance in the discus, earning sixth place with a toss of 27.41 meters. Mendes took fifteenth in the event.

The Diplomats compete next week at Gettysburg, meeting the Bullets and Dickinson for the Little Three Meet.
