F&M Fall 2014 Schedules Released

LANCASTER, Pa. - Schedules for Franklin & Marshall's fall athletic teams have been announced and are available for viewing at GoDiplomats.com. Click on the links above to access each team's 2014 slate of contests. 

Field Hockey

The Diplomats kick off 2014 on the road against Elizabethtown on Friday, Aug. 29 at 5:00 p.m. before returning to Tylus Field for their home opener against Alvernia on Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 7:00 p.m. F&M looks to continue its 33-game regular season Centennial Conference (CC) winning streak when conference play opens at Bryn Mawr on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 4:30 p.m. 

The first round of the CC Tournament begins on Wednesday, Nov. 5, with the championship game slated for Sunday, Nov. 9. On Wednesday, Nov. 12 the NCAA First Round begins, with the NCAA Final slated for Sunday, Nov. 23. 


F&M football kicks off its season opener at home against Lebanon Valley on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 1:00 p.m. CC play starts off the following Saturday (Sept. 13) when the Diplomats travel to take on Muhlenberg at 1:00 p.m. Moravian is welcomed to town on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 1:00 p.m. to celebrate homecoming at Sponaugle-Williamson Field, while the final regular season contest is set for Saturday, Nov. 15 on the road against Gettysburg at 1:00 p.m. 

Men's Soccer 

Men's soccer opens up its 2014 campaign on Friday, Aug. 29 against national champion runner-up Rutgers-Camden at 2:00 p.m., hosted by York College. The Diplomats' first home game is set for the following weekend (Saturday, Sept. 6) against Lebanon Valley at 4:00 p.m. Homecoming is set for Saturday, Oct. 25 a against Haverford as action at Tylus Field begins at 6:00 p.m. 

The CC Tournament opens with the first round on Wednesday, Nov. 5, with the championship game scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 9. The first round of the NCAA Tournament is set for Saturday, Nov. 15, while the Final takes place on Saturday, Dec. 6. 

Women's Soccer 

F&M opens its 2014 schedule at home against Lebanon Valley on Friday, Aug. 29 at 6:00 p.m. The CC portion of the schedule kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 20 on the road against Swarthmore, beginning at 7:00 p.m. 

The CC Tournament opens with the first round on Wednesday, Nov. 5, with the finals set to take place on Sunday, Nov. 9. NCAA Tournament action begins with the first round on Saturday, Nov. 15, while the NCAA Finals are slated for Saturday, Dec. 6. 

Men's and Women's Cross Country 

The men's and women's cross country teams open up 2014 by hosting the Alumni 5K w/ Millersville at Baker Campus on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 9:30 a.m. The Little Three Meet takes place on Wednesday, Sept. 10 when Dickinson hosts the annual event at 6:00 p.m. The CC Championships take place in Haverford, Pa., on Saturday, Nov. 1, beginning at 11:00 a.m., while the NCAA Championships are set for Saturday, Nov. 22. 


Volleyball opens on the road against Lancaster Bible with the Diplomats' first match taking place on Friday, Aug. 29 at 7:00 p.m as part of the Crosstown Crossover. The home opener is slated for Wednesday, Sept. 3 when F&M welcomes York to the Mayser Center for a 7:00 p.m. matchup. CC play begins on Wednesday, Sept. 17 on the road against Muhlenberg at 7:00 p.m. Conference playoffs begin Wednesday, Nov. 5 with the CC First Round, while the CC Finals are set for Sunday, Nov. 9. 

A number of sports, which compete primarily in the spring, will participate in a slew of tournaments and events for the fall portion of their schedule. Women's tennis will take part in the ITA Southeast Regional Championships, hosted by Mary Washington, on Saturday, Sept. 20, while the men's tennis team will compete in the same event the following Saturday. Men's golf is prepared to participate in five invitationals in the fall, wrapping up action in the annual F&M Fall Invitational, set for Monday, Oct. 20 at Bent Creek Country Club. Men's and women's rowing will compete at the Navy Day Regatta on Saturday, Oct. 11, as well as the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta on Saturday, Oct. 25.
