Diplomats Compete at Long-Short Invite

NEWVILLE, Pa. — Julia Zielinski paced Franklin & Marshall to 15th place finish at the Dickinson Long-Short Course Invitational hosted by Dickinson on Saturday afternoon. The Invite featured 40 teams from both Division II and Division III. 

Zielinski ran the 4k course in 15:53.59 and placed 53rd, while Liz Snyder from Carnegie Mellon took first at 14:21.90. Bucknell took the top spot followed by Shippensburg and Dickisnon.

Grace Adams was close by at 16:03.40 and Kim Hilfrank took 66th out of 301 runners with a time of 16:07.97. Kathleen McCutcheon (16:36.19), Caroline Dorey-Stein (16:49.73) along with Abby Grehlinger (17:09.01) and Alyssa Taylor (17:09.95) finished in the top half of the field. 

Caroline Kearney ran 18:23.84 while Brielle Stander crossed in 18:31.34 and Emily Christie finished out the Diplomat squad at 20:09.61.

F&M returns to action next Saturday at the Salisbury Don Cathcart Invitational.
