Chris Black was one of the most outstanding wrestlers to represent F&M. As a member of the 1968-1969 freshmen team, he won all 17 matches in which he competed. Over the next three seasons, he had a record of 38-2-1 in dual matches and 60-7-1 in dual and tournament matches. He won the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association title at 126 pounds in 1972, after finishing second in the same event in 1971. He was named most valuable wrestler? in the 1972 EIWA championships. He won the NCAA 126-pound College Division championships in 1971 and 1972, earning All-American honors as well. He is the owner of Black and Paterno, importers of cut crystal, In San Francisco.
