Weber Named Crew Coach

Franklin & Marshall College Director of Athletics and Recreation, Patricia S.W. Epps, announced Rob Weber as the second varsity crew coach at F&M. Weber will take the place of Claus Wolter, who recently retired to his home in New Brunswick, Canada. (more)

Diplomats Steady at Head of Fish

Franklin & Marshall fielded crews in five races on the second day of the 24th Annual Head of the Fish Regatta. Ideal conditions on Sunday yielded fast times at the Saratoga Rowing Association’s marquee event. (more)

Men 17th at Navy Day Regatta

Franklin & Marshall’s rowers finished in 17th place in a field of 24 crews at the annual Navy Day Regatta. (more)

Diplomats Open Rowing Season

Franklin & Marshall’s rowers opened their fall season on the Lehigh River racing against Lehigh University, Loyola College (Md.) and Iona College. The race format consisted of each team racing two times over a 2,200-meter distance for total elapsed time. (more)

Varsity Men Finish Third

Franklin & Marshall’s men’s Varsity Eight raced to a third place finish behind Mary Washington and Washington College at the inaugural Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference (MARC) Championships. (more)

Diplomats place Third in the River Cup

Franklin & Marshall’s men’s varsity rowers raced twice this weekend. The varsity eight broke into two four oared crews and finished second of out three teams and fourth out of four teams in each of their respective events. Rowing in the “B” boat were (bow to cox) Ho Hong Lau, Will Riegel, Brent Schneider, Nick Ferra and cox Juan Pitarque. In a separate race the “A” boat which finished fourth was comprised of (bow to cox) Aaron Hodes, Patrick Maloney, Daniel Falciani, Conor Borak and cox Kevin Brown. (more)

Men’s Crew Sweeps Schuylkill Sunday

Franklin & Marshall’s men’s rowers won all three races in which they competed Sunday afternoon. The crews rowed a 1,500-meter course on the Schuylkill into a strong current and moderate headwind. (more)

Men’s Rowers Rebound After Collision

Franklin & Marshall’s varsity men’s crew fell off the pace from the outset, but battled back to draw even with the Lehigh junior varsity crew about 600 meters from the finish. That’s when blades clashed bringing F&M to a complete stop. The official completed the race and allowed Lehigh’s jayvee and F&M to re-race the last 600 meters from where the collision occurred. Franklin & Marshall’s men’s rowers fell in their first Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference race against Washington College on Sunday morning. (more)






1962-1963 Lacrosse




Weber joined the Franklin & Marshall rowing staff in 2008, bringing several years of experience to the program. He has served as an assistant coach at William and Mary in two separate stints and assisted at Savannah College of Art and Design. At Savannah, Weber was primarily responsible for coaching novice men, and produced a crew that placed second at the Southeastern Regional Championships and third at the Clemson Sprints. His crew also placed 13th at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship Regatta (SIRA), winning the C Final with the ninth fastest overall time.
