2008 Football Season Preview

Senior captain, Andrew Rocks, is set to lead the 2008 Diplomats onto the gridiron. Franklin & Marshall returns 18 starters and is riding a three-game win streak into the new season, but lacks experience at quarterback. (more)

B2 Season Passes Now Available

B2 Networks, Franklin & Marshall’s video streaming partner on the web, made its season passes for the upcoming academic year available on Monday. The network offers a season pass for football as well as men’s and women’s basketball. There is also an all sports pass, which will allow viewers to access all F&M webcasts over B2 Networks. (more)

F&M Football Fights Pediatric Cancer

Franklin & Marshall College's Head Football Coach, John Troxell, and his staff, are set to work the fifth annual Lauren's First and Goal Foundation camps. The one-day charity camps will be held at Lafayette College on June 1 and the University of South Florida on June 8. The proceeds of the football camps will go to Lauren's First and Goal Foundation, on which Troxell and his wife, Pamela, serve on the Board of Directors. (more)

2008 Football Schedule Unveiled

Franklin & Marshall released its 2008 football schedule on Monday. The upcoming slate features the same ten teams as the 2007 season and a minor variation on the order in which they are played. (more)

Murray Named to D3Football.com Team of the Week

Ryan Murray was named to the D3Football.com Team of the Week. Franklin & Marshall's sophomore running back rushed for school records of 240 yards and five touchdowns in the Diplomats' 56-38 win over Gettysburg on Saturday. He is the first running back to rush for more than 100 yards on Gettysburg's defense in 12 games. (more)

Three Diplomats Named All-Centennial

Three members of Franklin & Marshall College's football team were named All-Centennial when the squad was released by the Centennial Conference office on Monday afternoon. Players are named All-Centennial Conference based on voting by the league's coaches. (more)

Murray Named Centennial Player of the Week

Ryan Murray was named the Centennial Conference's Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in the past three weeks. Franklin & Marshall's sophomore running back rushed for school records of 240 yards and five touchdowns in the Diplomats' 56-38 win over Gettysburg on Saturday. Murray Runs by Bullets

Sophomore running back Ryan Murray rushed for four of his five touchdowns in the fourth quarter, when Franklin & Marshall outscored Gettysburg 28-7 as the Diplomats defeated the Bullets in a 56-38 Centennial Conference shootout at Sponaugle-Williamson Field. (more)

Named the 39th coach in Franklin & Marshall football history on March 22, 2006, Troxell took the reins of the Diplomats following five seasons (2001-2005) as an assistant coach at Lafayette during which he served as video coordinator, running backs coach, recruiting coordinator and special teams coach for the 2004 and 2005 Patriot League champion Leopards.
