Diplomats Second at Bent Creek

The Franklin & Marshall men’s golf team put a wrap on the fall season with a second place finish at the Bent Creek Invitational on Monday. The Diplomats had four golfers in the top 15, but could not manage to keep the blistering pace of tournament champions, Messiah, which navigated the windy Bent Creek golf course in 303 strokes, 16 shots better than F&M. Diplomats Eighth at Keller Invite

Franklin & Marshall’s men’s golf team finished in a tie for eighth place at the 11 team Ted Keller Invitational. Christopher Newport University won the 36-hole tournament hosted by Randolph-Macon. (more)

Diplomats Ninth Through 18

Franklin & Marshall’s men’s golf team sits in ninth place of 11 teams in a tightly packed field at the Ted Keller Invitational. The 36-hole tournament is hosted by Randolph-Macon. The Diplomats are 21 shots off of first place Christopher Newport University. (more)

Diplomats Fourth at LVC

Cameron Warner and Steve Colalillo carded top 20 finishes to lead Franklin & Marshall to a fourth place finish at the 23 team Lebanon Valley Invitational on Monday. Albright placed two golfers in the top five to claim the tournament, followed by York and Messiah. (more)

Golfers Finish Fourth at E’town Invite

Franklin & Marshall’s men’s golf team finished in fourth place amongst the seven competing teas at the Elizabethtown College Invitational. Methodist University handily won the event with a 295, finishing six strokes ahead of Washington & Lee. The Diplomats were 18 strokes off of the championship benchmark. (more)

Woods; Diplomats Capture Moravian Invite

Led by Andrew Woods’ medalist effort, Franklin & Marshall College’s men’s golf team picked up where it left off in the spring capturing the Moravian Fall Invitational on Thursday. F&M won five of the 13 tournaments played last year en route to a 21st place finish at the NCAA Division III National Championships. The Diplomats finished outside of the top five just twice in those events. (more)

Diplomats Finish 21st at NCAA Championships

Franklin & Marshall’s men’s golf team shaved two shots off of their Friday round to post a 316 in the final round of the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championships. The Diplomats put up a four round total of 1,242, to finish in 21st place amongst the 36 teams that began the Championship on Wednesday. Andrew Woods was the top F&M finisher, placing 56th overall out of the 185 golfers who began the tournament. (more)

Diplomats 20th Through 54

Franklin & Marshall’s men’s golf team slid a spot in the team standings, dropping to 20th place through 54 holes at the NCAA Division III National Championships. Andrew Woods slipped from a fourth place tie to a six-way tie for 13th place. (more)

Diplomat Golfers Honored

Two Franklin & Marshall golfers earned honors at the Golf Coaches of America Banquet Wednesday evening. The banquet is part of the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championships. Danny Liebowitz was one of five golfers in the nation to be named to the All-Freshman Team. Liebowitz and Andrew Woods were named to the PING/Mid-Atlantic All-Region team. (more)
