Grabiak, All-American

Franklin & Marshall sophomore Tom Grabiak picked up his first career All-America certificate, placing 11th in the 200-Yard Breaststroke at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. Grabiak is the Diplomats first men's swimmer to earn the title since Derek Nowak and JJ Czaplicki achieved the honor at the 2006 championships. (more)

Grabiak Places 19th in 100 Breaststroke

Franklin & Marshall's Tom Grabiak, finished in 19th place in the 100-yard breaststroke on the second day of the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. The sophomore logged a 57.55 in the preliminaries to take 19th. (more)

Grabiak Sets School Record on First Day of NCAA Championships

Franklin & Marshall sophomore Tom Grabiak established a new Franklin & Marshall record in the 200-yard individual medley on the first day of the NCAA Division III National Swimming and Diving Championships. He swam to a 1:56.08, breaking his old school record of 1:56.35 set en route to a gold medal at this year's Centennial Conference Championships. (more)

Grabiak Set to Make a Splash at Nationals

Franklin & Marshall sophomore Tom Grabiak will represent the Diplomats at the 2008 NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championships once the meet gets underway this Thursday in Oxford, Ohio. The Haddonfield, New Jersey, native will be the first Diplomat swimmer to compete at Nationals since Derek Nowak and JJ Czaplicki earned All-America honors at the 2006 championship meet. (more)

Four-Peat!

The Franklin & Marshall men's swim team wrapped up its fourth consecutive Centennial Conference Championship, and sixth overall, taking five of the final seven events raced on Sunday. The Diplomats won 15 of the 18 events competed at the 2008 Centennial Championships, and produced the meet's Outstanding Swimmer on the men's side in Tom Grabiak. (more)

Men Blow Open Lead on Second Day

Franklin & Marshall's men's swim team entered Saturday with a 70.5 point lead on the rest of the field at the Centennial Conference Championships. By the time Saturday's seven finals were in the books, that lead ballooned to 179.5 points, leaving the Diplomats poised to capture their fourth Centennial Championship in as many awarded once competition resumes on Sunday. Diplomat Men Lead After Day One

With the first of three days of the Centennial Conference swim Championships on the books, Franklin & Marshall's men's team pulled out in front with 261 team points, giving the Diplomats an 70.5 point lead on the field. Swarthmore sits second with 190.5 team points. Seven different swimmers managed to medal in individual events on the first night, with the hosting Diplomats winning championship gold in four of the night's five events. Including relays, nine different F&M swimmers collected medals on Friday. (more)

Men's Swimmers Stay Perfect in CC

Franklin & Marshall's men's swim team wrapped up a perfect Centennial Conference (CC) dual meet slate with a 124-78 win at Gettysburg on Saturday. The win was the Diplomats sixth in conference competition this season, and tenth consecutive victory against conference foes dating back to a November 2006 loss to Swarthmore. (more)

Swimmers Collect CC Wins Over Dickinson

The Franklin & Marshall men's swimming team won the first eight out of 11 events to defeat Dickinson 106-88 in Centennial Conference (CC) action on Saturday. (more)

One of the most successful coaches in the history of Centennial Conference (CC) swimming, Rueppel has led the men's and women's swimming programs to seven CC Championships (out of a possible 14) in seven seasons. During his time at Franklin & Marshall, Rueppel has guided the swim teams to new heights. Highlights of his tenure include: Scholar All-American Honors in seven consecutive years; 38 individual athletes named to CC Academic Honor Roll; seven Centennial Conference Championships; set 87 school records; set 54 Centennial Conference records; 108 individual or relay CC Champions; 30 Division III All-Americans; 3 National Champions.
