Twenty-one Diplomats have been named to the 2009-10 Centennial Conference (CC) Winter Academic Honor Roll. To be nominated for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must participate in at least 50% of his or her team's contests, be a sophomore or higher and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.40.

Four Diplomats Named to CC Sportsmanship Team
Four Franklin & Marshall athletes have been named to the All-Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team. Each Centennial Conference member institution was permitted to nominate one student from each winter program who exemplified the best in sportsmanship. Nominations were submitted by the athletic departments or head coaches.

Beth Holt (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Catholic) was named Centennial Conference (CC) Honorable Mention, when the team was announced on Tuesday. The honor is the first postseason award for the junior guard.

Diplomats Raise $1000 for WBCA Cancer Fund
The Franklin & Marshall womens basketball team held their third-annual Pink Zone womens basketball games last Wednesday and Saturday, raising $1,000 dollars to benefit the Kay Yow/Womens Basketball Coaches of America (WBCA) Cancer Fund. Through the teams efforts and with SAAC's help F&M was able to more than double last years donations. $680 was collected from the fans while SAAC contributed $320 for their apparel sale.

Diplomats Drop Final Game to Dickinson
A 13-4 run to start the second half was all Dickinson needed to maintain control of the game and hand Franklin & Marshall a 67-58 loss on Saturday afternoon. The game marked the end of the regular season for the Diplomats, finishing with a final record of 10-15, 6-14 CC, while the Red Devils improved to 16-8, 12-8 CC.

Hopkins Rolls Past Diplomats
Four Blue Jays scored in double figures as Johns Hopkins defeated Franklin & Marshall 60-50 in Centennial Conference womens basketball action Wednesday evening. The Diplomats fell to 10-14, 6-13 CC, and Hopkins improved to 14-9, 12-7 CC.

PinkZone 2010
The Franklin & Marshall womens basketball team will hold its third annual WBCA PinkZone games (formerly known as Think Pink). This year will feature two games, the first is on Wednesday, February 17th when the Diplomats take on Johns Hopkins at 6 p.m. The second game is on Saturday February 20th, when Dickinson visits the Mayser Center at 2 p.m. Admission is free and donations are welcome at the door.

Diplomats Overwhelm Bryn Mawr
The Franklin & Marshall womens basketball team used a balanced offense, with six players scoring eight or more points, en route to a 72-34 victory over the Owls in Centennial Conference (CC) play on Saturday afternoon. The Diplomats snapped a two-game losing skid and improved to 10-13, 6-12 CC while Bryn Mawr fell to 2-20, 0-18 CC.

Scoring Drought Costs Diplomats Loss
Gettysburgs first-half defense set the pace for the game as the Bullets garnered their second win, 71-43, over Franklin & Marshall this season on Thursday night in a Centennial Conference (CC) womens basketball match-up. The Bullets are riding a seven-game winning streak and improved to 20-2, 14-2 CC, while the Diplomats fell to 9-13, 5-12 CC.

In 2009-2010, Ashlee Courter will enter her fourth season as the head women's basketball coach at Franklin & Marshall.
In 2008-09, one of the tightest regular seasons in Centennial history, ended with F&M in the Centennial Conference Championship Semifinals. F&M won eight of the last 11 conference games played on the year and pieced together a five game winning streak late in the season to wrap up the campaign with a 14-12 record. Courter went over the .500 mark in career wins posting a 39-38 record in her three years at the helm.
