Ten Named To ZAG/NFHCA Academic Squad

Ten members of the Franklin & Marshall field hockey team have been named to the 2007 ZAG/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Academic Squad. Student-athletes selected for the team had to achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 through the first semester of the 2007-08 academic year. (more)

Krempa Named Head Field Hockey Coach

Patricia S.W. Epps, Director of Athletics and Recreation, has announced the appointment of Melissa Krempa as the head field hockey coach at Franklin & Marshall College. She becomes the 12th coach in Diplomat field hockey history and succeeds Beth Walkenbach, who assumed administrative duties in January after the conclusion of her second year. (more)

Lindsay Solar has been named to the 2007 Longstreth/NFHCA Division III South All-Region Team, announced on Monday. (more)

Field Hockey Falls In CC Semifinals

Jennie Moore scored twice and recorded two assists to lead fourth-ranked and top-seeded Ursinus over Franklin & Marshall 9-0 in the semifinals of the Centennial Conference (CC) field hockey championships on Saturday. (more)

Field Hockey Advances To CC Semifinals

Pamela Cassidy scored the game-winning goal with 2:56 left to play and Jennifer Burdo (Narbeth, PA/Harriton) came up with big saves down the stretch to lead Franklin & Marshall over 19th-ranked Gettysburg 2-1 in the first round of the Centennial Conference (CC) field hockey playoffs. (more)

Melissa Krempa was named Franklin & Marshall's 12th varsity field hockey coach on Thursday, March 13, 2008. She joins the Diplomat staff after spending four years as the assistant field hockey coach, and strength and conditioning coordinator at William Smith College. During her tenure, she led the Herons to four consecutive Liberty League championships and four trips to the NCAA tournament, including the Final Four one year.
