Diplomats Lead at Halfway Point

After 18 of 36 holes, Franklin & Marshall’s women’s golf team is in first place among the four scoring teams competing at the Lancaster Intercollegiate Classic. F&M holds a one stroke lead on West Chester entering tomorrow’s final round. (more)

Diplomats Golfers Ranked

For the first time in the program’s nine-year history, Franklin & Marshall’s women’s golf team received votes in the Golf World/National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) Division III Poll. (more)

Women’s Golf Cancelled

Franklin & Marshall’s women’s golf team was set to play in this weekend’s Regent’s Glen Classic, hosted by McDaniel and Bucknell. The event has been rained out and will not be rescheduled. The Diplomats return to action on Monday, October 6 for the Lancaster Intercollegiate Classic. The Diplomats will co-host the 36-hol tournament with Millersville. (more)

Diplomats Third at McDaniel

Meghan Maloney and Franklin & Marshall’s women’s golf team finished in third place at the McDaniel College Fall Invitational this afternoon. Gettysburg’s Caroline Nathan won the 18-hole tournament played at Piney Branch Golf Club to pace her squad to the tournament title. (more)

Fiala Takes Millersville Medal

Franklin & Marshall first-year, Julia Fiala, shot an 88 on Wednesday claim the individual medalist honors at the Millersville Invitational. Fiala held two strokes on her classmate, Meghan Maloney. The pair paced F&M to a 379, one stroke behind West Chester University, which took the team title in the field of three squads. (more)

Diplomats Capture Bearcat Invite

Franklin & Marshall’s women’s golf team shot 351 to edge Gettysburg by a single stroke, winning the eight-team Lady Bearcat Invitational on Friday. Three members of the Diplomats scoring four finished in the tournament’s top five to secure the title. (more)

Gallagher Named Scholar All-American

Franklin & Marshall College women’s golfer, Grace Gallagher, was named to the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) Scholar All-American team when it was announced Wednesday. She is the first F&M women’s golfer to earn the honor and the only golfer from the Centennial Conference selected this season. (more)

Women’s Golf Wins Dickinson Invite

Franklin & Marshall’s women’s golf team handily won the Dickinson College Invitational on Tuesday. F&M posted a combined 372 to finish 42 strokes ahead of the hosts, the only other scoring team in the make-up of a rained out event earlier in the month. (more)
