McCabe Places 20th in 200 Back

Franklin & Marshall junior Brittany McCabe wrapped up her third trip to the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving National Championships with a 20th place finish in the 200-yard backstroke Saturday evening. McCabe posted a 2:08.51 in the last of her three events at the 2008 national meet. (more)

McCabe Earns Fourth All-America Honor

Franklin & Marshall junior Brittany McCabe picked up her fourth career All-America honor, placing 13th in the 100-yard backstroke at the NCAA Division III National Championships. She logged a time of 58.68. Amherst senior Brittany Sasser won the event with an NCAA Division III Championship record time of 53.85. (more)

McCabe Competes on Day One at NCAA Championships

Making her third appearance at the NCAA National Championships, Franklin & Marshall junior, Brittany McCabe, placed 38th in the 50-yard freestyle. The three-time All-America opted into the event. She qualified in the 100 and 200-yard backstroke. (more)

McCabe Set for Third Trip to Nationals

Franklin & Marshall junior Brittany McCabe will look for her fourth All-America honor, competing this weekend at the NCAA Division III Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. The three-day affair gets underway on Thursday at the Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center in Miami, Ohio. The College of Wooster is hosting this year's championship. (more)

McCabe Posts Second NCAA Qualifying Time

Brittany McCabe picked up her second gold medal and NCAA qualifying of the time of the 2008 Centennial Championships on Sunday, clocking a 2:08.07 in the 200-yard backstroke. She beat Swarthmore's Allie Jordan to the wall by nearly two seconds with an NCAA B-Cut time, giving McCabe her 12th career Centennial gold medal. (more)

McCabe Hits Qualifying Mark

Brittany McCabe became the first women's swimmer from Franklin & Marshall to collect 2008 gold at the Centennial Conference Championships. McCabe won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 58.29, making her the only swimmer to clock in under the one-minute mark. McCabe's mark is an NCAA Automatic qualifier, giving the Diplomat a shot at repeating as an All-American. (more)

Diplomats in Sixth After First Day

Gettysburg College's women's swim team opened up their Centennial Conference title defense on a solid note at F&M's Kunkel Aquatic Center Friday evening. The Bullets hold 71.5 points on the field, trailed by Swarthmore and Dickinson. Franklin & Marshall is in sixth place through the first day of the 2008 Centennial Championships, having been blanked in the medal department. (more)

Women's Swimmers Fall at G'burg

Gettysburg's women's swim team mirrored the accomplishment of Franklin & Marshall's men, marching through the Centennial Conference portion of their slate without a blemish on their record. The Bullets (10) went to 7-0 in the Centennial with a 139-66 win over the Diplomats (6-6, 4-3 CC). (more)

Swimmers Collect CC Wins Over Dickinson

The women held a 62.5-47.5 lead after capturing the first four out of six events and earning three more victories down the stretch to edge the Red Devils, 112.5-90.5. Meghan Karanian was a double winner for the Diplomats, touching first in the 100 and 200 freestyle. (more)

One of the most successful coaches in the history of Centennial Conference (CC) swimming, Rueppel has led the men's and women's swimming programs to seven CC Championships (out of a possible 14) in seven seasons. During his time at Franklin & Marshall, Rueppel has guided the swim teams to new heights. Highlights of his tenure include: Scholar All-American Honors in seven consecutive years; 38 individual athletes named to CC Academic Honor Roll; seven Centennial Conference Championships; set 87 school records; set 54 Centennial Conference records; 108 individual or relay CC Champions; 30 Division III All-Americans; 3 National Champions.
