Diplomats Compete At ECAC Championships

Megan Hunter finished third in the 400m, while Jake Gomolinski took fifth in the 100m to lead Franklin & Marshall's men's and women's track & field teams at the 2008 ECAC Championships held in Springfield, Massachusetts. (more)

Hunter Breaks Program Record In 800m

Megan Hunter broke the program record in the 800m with a time of 2:14.23 to finish in ninth place at the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet on Tuesday. (more)

Women Earn Two Gold Medals At CC Championships

Alyssa Catalano beat out the field in the shot put for the gold medal, going the distance of 39-04.50 on her third throw of the day. (more)

Diplomats Sit Seventh At CC Championships

Shannon Weir finished in the top 10 in the 3000m steeplechase, running in sixth place with a time of 11:54.97 to add three points to F&M's total. Weir and Hunter joined Jenna Bush and Nicole DiBenedetto for sixth in the 4x800m relay (10:09.61). (more)

Hunter Breaks School Record At Shippensburg

Megan Hunter broke the school record in the 800m, while Jake Gomolinski and Steven Tracy were top finishers in the 100m and 200m to lead the Franklin & Marshall men's and women's track & field teams at the Paul Kaiser Classic at Shippensburg on Saturday. (more)

Diplomats Show Well At Millersville

Shannon Weir placed second in both the 800m and 1500m run with times of 2:22.01 and 4:57.88, respectively. Laura Hansen competed in the hurdle events for the Diplomats, clocking in at 18.43 in the 100m hurdles and 1:15.22 in the 400m hurdles. (more)

Women Win Four Events At West Chester

Megan Hunter won the 400m with a time of 58.72 and Shannon Weir followed with a season-best 4:56.66 in the 1500m for first place. Rachel Suydam was the first to cross the line in the 3000m race with a time of 11:03.46 and Alyssa Catalano rounded out the top finishers with throw of 45.70m in the hammer. (more)

Diplomats Compete At Osprey Open

Erin Gleason competed in three field events and was among the top 10 in each. In the javelin, she hit the distance of 96-09 for third and then threw the discus 104-08 for sixth. Gleason also came in fifth in the shot put (37-03). (more)

Catalano Sets Meet Record At Little 3

Alyssa Catalano started her outdoor season breaking the meet record in the hammer throw to lead Franklin & Marshall women's track & field team to third place at the Little Three Championships held at Sponaugle-Williamson Field on Saturday. (more)

Carl Schnabel, mentor of the men's and women's track teams at Franklin & Marshall, is a native of Lancaster. He returned to his hometown to coach the Diplomat track teams in the summer of 2003, and currently resides in the city with his wife, Jennifer, and their four children.
