HAVERFORD, PA - Freddy McNeely (So., Newtown Square, PA/Hill School) earned a pair of 3-0 victories as the Franklin & Marshall College women's squash team defeated Haverford and George Washington to open the 2004-05 season.

Against Haverford, McNeely handled Amy Kim 9-0, 9-0, 9-0 as the Diplomats swept the Fords 9-0 to improve to 18-4 against Haverford. Jessie Mitchell (So., Devonshire, Bermuda/Canterbury) handled Charlotte Koeninger 9-2, 9-1, 9-5 at #2 and Minal Patel (Jr., Avon, CT/Westminster) defeated Laura Brown 9-1, 9-3, 9-3 at #3 before Amanda Lesko (Fr., Denver, CO/St. Marys Academy) recorded a 9-2, 5-9, 9-5, 9-4 victory at #4 over Zu Huei Tay.

Betsy Griffin (Fr., Baltimore, MD/Roland Park) upended Betsy Schmidt 9-1, 10-8, 9-3 at #5, Lizzy Denenberg (Jr., Wilmington, DE/Sanford School) downed Beth Drybala 9-4, 9-4, 9-7 at #6, Barbara Bee (So., Millersville, PA/Penn Manor) defeated Margot Elton 9-2, 9-4, 9-4 at #7, Ginny Rollins (So., Baltimore, MD/McDonogh School) won 9-4, 9-4, 9-0 at #8 and Roshni Lodhia (So., Dar es Salaam, Tanzania/International School) recorded a 9-2, 9-3, 2-9, 9-7 win at #9 to complete the shutout.

Versus George Washington, Franklin & Marshall recorded an 8-1 win to up the program's record to 6-0 all-time against the Colonials. GWU's sole win the match came at #9 as Laura Nagy managed a 3-1 win (6-9, 10-8, 9-5, 9-3) over Lodhia.

The Diplomats (2-0) will return to action on November 19 at home versus Cornell. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.
