NEW HAVEN, CT - George Edwards (Jr., Bryn Mawr, PA/Harriton) earned a 3-2 (2-9, 9-0, 9-1, 3-9, 9-1) victory at #1 over Ryan Phelan and Satyajit Seshadri (So., Chennai, India/Gill Adarsh) picked up a 3-0 (9-0, 9-1, 9-1) win at #2 over Trevor McWilliams to lead Franklin & Marshall College to an 8-1 win over Colby College in men's squash at Yale University.
The Diplomats picked up wins in matches #1-6 as well as #8-9 as Colby's Brett Willis held on for a 3-1 (1-9, 9-3, 9-5, 9-4) win at #7.
The win raises Franklin & Marshall's record to 9-1 all-time against Colby as the Diplomats have won the last four meetings and improves F&M head coach John Stallings to 195-131 all-time as he is now seven wins away from surpassing William Marshall (201-113) as the all-time winningest coach in program history.
Franklin & Marshall (4-4) will return to action on January 15 at Wesleyan.
