HAVERFORD, PA - Freddy McNeely (Jr., Newtown Square, PA/Hill School) went 2-0 as the Franklin & Marshall College women's squash team defeated Haverford College and George Washington University to open the 2005-06 season.

In a 7-2 win over Haverford, McNeely rolled over Betsy Schmidt 9-0, 9-0, 9-0 as the Diplomats recorded seven 3-0 victories and fell by a 3-0 count at #8 and #9.

Jessica Mitchell (Jr., Devonshire, Bermuda/Canterbury School) dropped Elif Sen 9-1, 9-1, 9-3 at #2, Tracey Sole (Fr., Glendale, Zimbabwe/Peterhouse Girls School) stopped Sarah Purcell 9-5, 9-0, 9-3 at #3 and Amanda Lesko (So., Denver, CO/St. Mary's Academy) defeated Jen Hurfand 9-0, 9-2, 9-0 at #4 as the Diplomats improved to 20-4 all-time against Haverford and now hold a five match winning streak against the Fords.

Versus George Washington, McNeely dropped Rachael Rayfield 9-3, 9-0, 9-2 as F&M recorded seven 3-0 victories and Sole handled Bettina Scott 9-4, 9-3, 8-9, 9-0 at #3 in an 8-1 victory.

Lesko defeated Lexi Miller 9-4, 9-3, 9-0 at #4, Davinia Buckley (Fr., Atlanta, GA/Pomfret School) stopped Maggie Alexander 9-1, 9-0, 9-0 at #5, Barbara Bee (Jr., Millersville, PA/Penn Manor) notched a 9-0, 9-0, 9-0 victory over Leah Sherman, Lizzy Denenberg (Sr., Wilmington, DE/Sanford School) handled Helene Seydour 9-1, 9-1, 9-7 at #7 and Margaret Seaman (Sr., Cazenovia, NY/Northwest Academy) managed Christina Lazar 9-4, 9-0, 9-1 at #8 as F&M improved to 8-0 against George Washington.

Franklin & Marshall (2-0) will continue the season on December 2 at the University of Pennsylvania.
