NEW HAVEN, CT - Franklin & Marshall College fell to Stanford University, Connecticut College and Bowdoin College in women's squash at the Yale University Round Robin Invitational.

Versus Stanford, Lizzy Denenberg (Sr., Wilmington, DE/Sanford School) handled Amy Eshelman 3-1 at #4 and Barbara Bee (Jr., Millersville, PA/Penn Manor) defeated Rachel Deming 3-1 at #5 for the Diplomats victories in a 7-2 loss to the Cardinal. At #1, Stanford's Brooksie Riley overcame a 2-0 deficit to Franklin & Marshall's Freddy McNeely (Jr., Newtown Square, PA/Hill School) as she fell behind 2-9 and 8-10 before rallying for 9-3, 9-6 and 9-7 wins to take the match 3-2. Cate Crowley repeated the feat at #6 as she overcame deficits of 1-0 and 2-1 to hold off Margaret Seaman (Jr., Cazenovia, NY/Northwest Academy) 3-2 (8-10, 9-7, 1-9, 10-8, 10-8).

In the Connecticut College match, McNeely handled Sarah Bridenhagen 9-2, 9-5, 9-6 at #1, Seaman downed Lucy Arnold 3-9, 10-9, 9-4, 9-3 at #7 and Katherine Cochrane (Fr., Cape Elizabeth, ME/Madeira School) picked up a win by default at #9, but the Camels clutched the #2-5 and #8 matches to defeat the Diplomats 6-3.

Against Bowdoin, Denenberg rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat Madeleine McQueeney 9-6, 1-9, 8-10, 9-4, 9-3 as Diplomats fell to the Polar Bears 8-1.

Franklin & Marshall (3-6) will continue the season on January 27-29 at the Princeton University Invitational.
