WEST POINT, N.Y.-- Justin Herbert picked up Franklin &
Marshall's only win during a 41-3 loss at Army Tuesday
evening in the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association opener
for both teams.
The Diplomats (0-1, 0-1 EIWA) 174-pounder edged out Ryan Mergen in
a 2-1 decision.
Herbert improved to 3-2 on the season.
Army (2-1-1) won the first seven bouts and used three pins and a
pair of tech falls en route to the win. Matt Kyler improved to 7-1
on the year with his pin at 149.
The Diplomats return to action this Saturday at the Navy
Classic.
