CLINTON, N.Y. - Franklin & Marshall's women's squash team
picked up its first win of the season, handing a 9-0 loss to St.
Lawrence during the Saturday portion of the Hamilton College Round
Robin. The Diplomats dropped their subsequent matches, falling 9-0
to Mt. Holyoke on Saturday, and 9-0 to Hamilton on Sunday.
Sheena Suckoo (2-4) posted F&M's established F&M's first
winning streak of the season with her 3-0 sweep of St. Lawrence's
Jacqueline Barrett. The other nine wins in F&M's lineup
represent the first of the young season for the respective
Diplomats.
#1 Ellie Foster handed in a 3-0 sweep of St. Lawrence's Sofi
Garnett (9-2, 9-3, 9-2), marking the first win of the freshman's
collegiate career. Ally Warshaver and Caitlin Frank each registered
3-0 sweeps over their opponents.
Only Aleka Woods and Erin Jaffee managed to make it to four
games in the scoring portion of the 9-0 loss to Mt. Holyoke. Gabby
Robinson was the only fummer to get beyond the third game in the
loss to Hamilton.
The Diplomats are idle through the semester break.
