LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall challenged Dartmouth up and down the ladder, but the Big Green (3-0) left Lancaster with a 7-2 win in the Diplomat (0-1) men's squash opener.

The day's most competitive matches came at the top of the roster. Chris Hanson needed five at No. 1 to knock off Gabriel de Melo, in a marathon 15-13, 11-13, 11-9, 5-11, 11-5, match.

No. 2 Guilhereme de Melo and #4 Saqid Madraswala picked up the wins for F&M. de Melo swept Nick Sisodia, 11-5, 11-8, 12-0, while Madraswala needed five to pick up the win over Luke Lee, 11-9, 11-7, 3-11, 9-11, 11-9.

Dartmouth owned the bottom half of the day posting 3-0 sweeps in the final four matches. Franklin & Marshall is now 12-15 in matches with the Big Green.  

The Diplomats continue their season opening slate against the Ivies at Penn on December 2. The Diplomats return home for a match with Yale on December 5.
