LANCASTER, Pa. - Despite numerous close games and matches, #11
Franklin & Marshall suffered a 9-0 setback at the hands of #4
Yale in men's squash Saturday evening. The Diplomats fell to 0-3,
while the Elis moved to 3-0.
Gabriel de Melo took Kenneth Chan to four games at no. 1. He
stayed with Chan point-for-point in the first game only to see him
pull away at the end for a 13-11 win. de Melo responded with an
11-7 win in the second, but fell 5 and 7 in the third and fourth.
At No. 2, Guillhereme was swept 3-0, but was more than a nuisance
to Todd Ruth, pushing each game past 11 points. No. 3 Juan Lopez
took a game in another tight match.
F&M will seek the season's first win tomorrow against George
Washington. The Diplomats are 31-0 in matches with the Colonials.
