LACNASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's men's squash team
opened the second semester of the season with an 8-1 win over
Hamilton Thursday afternoon. The Diplomats improved to 2-3 with the
win while Hamilton fell to 3-4.
Diplomats' No. 4, Sadiq Madraswala, picked up the
40th win of his career, handing Alex Wood a setback in
three, 11-2, 11-4, 12-10. He is the 51st player in
program history to reach the 40-win plateau. No. 5 Zarir Aibara
moved within two matches of becoming the 52nd player to
40 wins. He handled Hal Lee in three games, 11-3, 11-6, 13-11.
The Diplomats swept the first seven matches in the victory in
three games. #9 Scott Nerhbas needed four to knock off George
Whiteley 3-1. After dropping the first 8-11, he took the next
three, 11-4, 11-5, 11-9.
In his first collegiate action, Wick Clothier posted a 3-0 win
over Lyman Munschauer in the exhibition, 11-5, 11-0, 11-3.
The victory was the eighth in as many meetings between the two
schools. The Diplomats return to action tomorrow against
Connecticut College
