HAVERFORD, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's women's squash team
rolled to a 9-0 win at Haverford Saturday afternoon. The Diplomats
(7-10) posted 3-0 sweeps in eight of the nine scoring matches and
the exhibition match.
Playing up two spots, #1 Katherine Barnes jumped on the Fords'
(1-3) in the first game, winning 11-1. She allowed Gilarsky seven
points in each of the next two games. Also up from the middle of
the lineup, Chelsea Ross took the first game 11-7, before clamping
down on Vanessa Sergeon. Ross held Sergeon to five in the second
and four in the third.
Making her first appearance of the season, Kristen Moran cashed
in on her opportunity, defeating Kate Mundell 11-1, 11-5, 11-9 in
the exhibition match. #7 Dana Russo picked up the
20th win of her career, an 11-2, 11-6, 11-1 win over
Katherine Pryor.
The Diplomats return to action next Saturday at Cornell.
