NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. - Franklin & Marshall dropped EIWA matches with Brown and Harvard Friday evening at Rutgers. The Diplomats fell 35-21 to the Crimson and 46-4 to the Bears.

Wrestling with a lineup depleted by injury and illness, F&M forfeited three weight classes. Despite being shorthanded, the Diplomats took four of the seven bouts contested against Harvard, and were tied 12-12 halfway through the match. Freshman, Eric Norgard, picked up his first EIWA dual victory with a late second period pin of Spencer Friedman. Anthony Bongarzone and Matt Fullowan each posted decisions to give the Diplomats three of the first five bouts. Colin Ely also added a decision for the Diplomats.

Fullowan trailed Brown's Jack Roberts 4-1 before working a come from behind win. The sophomore used two takedowns and a batch of back points to make a 13-1 run on the scoreboard to the final buzzer. Fullowan's 14-5 major spared F&M the shutout and made him the Diplomats' lone double winner on the night.

Franklin & Marshall (0-4, 0-3 EIWA) returns to the mats on Wednesday at Virginia Military Institute. The 7:30 p.m. match marks the start of a five-match southern swing before the Diplomats wrestle their home opener at Mayser on January 30.
