PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall fell to host Drexel, 25-10, in non-conference wrestling action on Saturday in Philadephia. The Diplomats drop to 0-5 on the year, while the Dragons open their season at 1-0.

Robert Ruiz, Matt Fullowan and Matt Latessa each recorded wins for F&M, while a number of other bouts were narrow defeats for the Diplomats.

Ruiz claimed a major decision victory, 11-1, over Franco Ferraina at 133 pounds for his first career win. Fullowan took down Ethan Keiser by decision at 174 pounds, 6-2, before Latessa made it back-to-back Diplomats wins with a 3-2 decision over Alex Rinaldi at 184.

Saturday's match was closer than the final score may indicate, as four of F&M's losses were decided by three points or less. At 125 pounds, David Hershberger dropped a 7-5 decision to Michael Gomez, while Richard Durso was edged out by Frank Cimato, 8-7, at 141.Andrew Murano lost a tough battle at 149 to Shane Fenningham, 7-4, and Colin Ely lost by a 4-3 margin at 197 to Brandon Palik.

The Diplomats return to action on Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Navy Classic.
