LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall posted straight-game victories in seven of nine matches to sweep visiting St. Lawrence, 9-0, in women's squash action on Wednesday night. The No. 17 Diplomats move to 3-6 with the win, while the No. 27 Saints fall to 1-6.
F&M received straight-game wins from Morgan Smith (No. 1), Roxanna Mead (No. 2), Chelsea Ross (No. 4), Katherine Perry (No. 5), Elizabeth Gatling (No. 7), Gabby Robinson (No. 8) and Tanya Arora (No. 9) in the landslide victory.
Halley Cruice (No. 3) and Krista Lancione (No. 6) each posted four-game triumphs to help the Diplomats complete the shutout in convincing fashion. Both Cruice and Lancione bounced back from second-game setbacks to earn wins at their respective spots.
The Diplomats return to action on Thursday as they travel to No. 3 Penn. Match time is set for 5:00 pm in Philadelphia.
