WESTMINSTER, Md. – Franklin & Marshall remained perfect in Centennial Conference (CC) action dominating McDaniel 55-30 with the final two events going to exhibition, in women's swimming action. The Diplomats earned the top spot in seven events to move to 4-2, 4-0 CC while the Green Terror fell to 1-7, 0-5 CC.
The 200 yard medley relay of Krista Hollingsworth, Katherine DeCrosta, Jackie Behr, and Ana Franzluebbers started the evening for the Diplomats with a winning time of 1:55.55. Hollingsworth and DeCrosta also recorded individual victories, Hollingsworth took the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.65 and DeCrosta captured the 50 yard freestyle edging out teammate Behr by .15 seconds.
Maggie Johns capture first in two events taking the 400 yard individual medley (4:46.64) and the 100 yard freestyle (57.03) with teammate Courtney Gregor following Johns with a mark of 59.98.
Stephanie Brooks captured first in the 100 yard butterfly (1:04.06), and Olivia Hill had a dominating performance in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:25.85, beating the nearest Green Terror by over a minute.
F&M recorded second place finishes from Alexia Tomlinson in the 200 yard freestyle and 500 yard freestyle, Behr in the 50 yard freestyle, and Christiansen in the 100 yard backstroke
The Diplomats will be back in the pool tomorrow, when they host CC opponent Ursinus at 1 p.m.
