NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - Franklin & Marshall defeated Wesleyan (Conn.) 9-0 to conclude play at the Pioneer Valley Invitational on Sunday. The Diplomats (8-4) have now won five straight after notching three shutout wins on the weekend.
Gabriel de Melo (No. 1), Guilherme de Melo (No. 2), Alex Arjoon (No. 3), Freddy Hernandez (No. 7), Brian Henry (No. 8) and Peter Koekkoek (No. 9) each secured three-game victories for the Diplomats.
Ryan Mullaney (No. 4), Jack Cutler (No. 5) and Aadit Zaveri (No. 6) each won in four games. Cutler (8-11, 11-7, 11-5, 11-8) and Zaveri (8-11, 11-6, 11-4, 11-6) both shook off game one losses to take down their respective opponents, while Mullaney (16-14, 6-11, 11-9, 11-9) edged out Mike DeLalio in a battle at the No. 4 spot.
F&M returns to action on Friday, Feb. 3 at Cornell.
