BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's swimming team dominated Bryn Mawr 155-50 on Saturday afternoon to pick up a victory in its Centennial Conference (CC) opener. The Diplomats earned 10 wins in 11 events.
In the opening event, a team of Caitlyn Fuller, Rebecca Citti, Courtney Gregor and Katherine Grant pulled out a win in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:58.81.
F&M continued to roll, winning the first five events of the contest. After the Owls picked up their first win of the day in the 100-yard butterfly, the Diplomats answered in the next event when Courtney Collins touched the wall first in the 100-yard freestyle. Collins finished directly ahead of teammates Jackie Behr and Charlotte Katter with a time of 56.74.
The Diplomats took the next four events, capping off their successful CC opener with a victory in the 200-yard freestyle. Kendra Poirier, Krista Hollingsworth, Behr and Collins finished with a time of 1:45.69.
F&M returns to the pool next Saturday to take on Swarthmore in CC action. The meet is set to begin at 2:00 p.m.
