LANCASTER, Pa. - No. 15 Franklin & Marshall dropped a 9-0 decision to No. 5 Penn on Wednesday night at the Mayser Center. The Diplomats fall to 4-4 with the loss, while the Quakers move to 6-1.
Several Diplomats put up challenges to their Penn opponents despite being edged out at each of the nine spots. Chelsea Ross came the closest to claiming a game for F&M, falling in a marathon first game 18-16, before going down 11-8, 11-2 in the final two games.
The Diplomats return to the courts on Friday against Columbia at the Yale Round Robin. Match time is set for 3:00 p.m.
