NEWARK, Del. – Franklin & Marshall's men's cross country team took second at the Delaware Invitational hosted by Delaware University Saturday morning. The race featured seven teams from both Division II and III and three DI club teams.
The Diplomats averaged 2:23.08, trailing only West Chester at 2:22.48 in the college division. Delaware Track Club had a team average of 2:20.57.
Bryan Andrews paced the Diplomats with a fifth place finish in 27:47.23 while James Hamilton ran 28:22.20 to finish 11th out of 77 runners. Chris Warren from Delaware captured the individual crown at 26:32.46.
Greg Olenginski took 13th at 28:24.13 and three Diplomats finished six seconds apart to place 24th-27th. Michael Whalen came in at 29:15.92 with Luk Olenginski and J.T. Paganelli crossing in 29:18.16 and 29.21.76 respectively. Brien Miceli figured into the scoring with 37th place finish at 30:25.16.
F&M returns to action on Nov. 2 at the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships hosted by McDaniel.
