LANCASTER, Pa. - No. 14 Franklin & Marshall fell 9-0 to No. 6 Cornell on Saturday afternoon at the Mayser Center. The Diplomats conclude the regular season at 10-9 with the loss, while the Big Red improve to 12-4.
Cornell captured each of the nine spots in straight games in the shutout. No. 3 Chelsea Ross was the Diplomat who came closest to claiming a game, falling 11-6, 11-9, 11-8 to Jaime Laird. No. 1 Emily Caldwell dropped a tight 11-8 game one to Danielle Letourneau, while No. 5 Katherine Perry and No. 8 Krista Lancione both fell 11-7 in the opening games of their respective matches.
The Diplomats return to action on Friday at the CSA Team Championships hosted by Yale.
