Diplomats Crush Continentals

AMHERST, Mass. – The No. 6 Franklin & Marshall men's squash team righted a two-match slide in convincing fashion, dropping No. 23 Hamilton with a dominating 9-0 win on Friday evening at day one of the Amherst Round Robin. The Diplomats' improved to 4-2 on the year with the victory, while the Continentals fell to 5-5.

All nine members earned a sweep for F&M including a commanding 11-1, 11-5, 11-8 victory from Mauricio Sedano at No. 1. Wesley "Cole" Osborne followed at No. 2 with an 11-9, 11-8, 11-5 score, before Jack Cutler took down Teddy Black at No. 3 with an 11-2, 11-9, 11-8 tally.

Alex Arjoon took the first two games of his match at 11-6, 11-4 before wrapping up the sweep at No. 3 by outlasting Joshua Wolpert by a 12-10 margin. Dylan Cunningham continued his torrid start to the season, earning an 11-8, 11-6, 11-5 win at No. 7 to improve to 6-0 on the year.

No.'s 8-9 also cruised to victory with Brian Henry taking down Walker Lourie (11-3, 11-6, 11-9) and Aadit Zaveri winning over Xander Kerman (11-4, 11-2, 11-6).

F&M continues at day two of the Amherst Round Robin tomorrow with matches against Columbia at 9:00 a.m. and Wesleyan (Conn.) at 5:00 p.m.
