AMHERST, Pa. – The No. 6 Franklin & Marshall men's squash team wrapped up action at the Amherst Round Robin on Sunday by thrashing the host school by an 8-1 margin to wrap up a perfect 4-0 record at the event. The Diplomats improved to 7-2 on the year while No. 22 Amherst fell to 4-5.
F&M also took down No. 23 Hamilton on Friday (9-0), before defeating No. 12 Columbia (6-3) and No. 16 Wesleyan (9-0) on Saturday.
After falling at No. 1, the Diplomats responded with sweeps in each of the next eight positions to roll to the victory. Mauricio Sedano cruised in his first two games (11-6, 11-5) before being challenged in the third but was able to hang on for the 12-10 win to close out the sweep.
Alex Arjoon at No. 4 (11-3, 11-7, 11-4) and Brian Henry at No. 7 (11-3, 11-2, 11-4) were met with little resistance in their matchups.
F&M returns to the court on Friday when the Diplomats open play at the Yale Round Robin. Action kicks off against Western Ontario at 5:00 p.m.
