ITHACA, N. Y. – With a 6-3 win over No. 8 Cornell on Friday afternoon in Ithaca, N.Y., the No. 6 Franklin & Marshall men's squash team improved its winning streak to eight matches. The win was the Diplomats third over a top 10 team on the season to move their overall record to 11-2, while the Big Red fell to 4-4.

Cornell captured the opening matches at No. 1 and No. 2 but the middle of F&M's lineup continued its solid play by taking wins at No.'s 3-7. Wesley "Cole" Osborne cruised at No. 3 (11-5, 7-11, 11-7, 11-9, Mauricio Sedano won handily at No. 4 with an 11-3, 11-5, 11-9 sweep, while Alex Arjoon captured a 3-1 victory (11-7, 11-8, 10-12, 11-8) at the No. 5 spot.

Pedro Veiga de Almeida (No. 6) and Dylan Cunningham (No. 7) each recorded 3-0 sweeps, while the Diplomat's other win came from Brian Henry at No. 9 with a 3-1 tally (11-5, 9-11, 11-5, 11-7). Ryan Mullaney battled Abhijit Malik at No. 8 but was eventually outlasted in a 3-2 defeat (12-10, 8-11, 12-10, 8-11, 11-8).

F&M is faced with another top 10 matchup tomorrow when the Diplomats travel to Canton, N.Y., to face off against No. 4 St. Lawrence at 12:00 p.m.
