PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Trailing 4-1 with four matches to play, Franklin & Marshall's No. 12 men's squash team embarked on an epic comeback, handing No. 8 Penn a come-from-behind 5-4 decision on Sunday in Philadelphia. The win improved the Diplomats' record to 5-3 on the year and marked the fourth consecutive win over the Quakers, while Penn dropped its first match of the season and fell to 4-1.
Down by three matches, F&M registered key wins from Alex Arjoon (No. 3), Cole Osborne (No. 1), Brian Henry (No. 7) and Christopher Bown (No. 9). Tied at 2-2, Arjoon captured wins in his final two games for the comeback 3-2 victory (11-8, 5-11, 8-11, 11-9, 11-5), while Osborne was knotted up at 1-1 but came through with a pair of victories in his final two frames for the 3-1 win (12-10, 8-11, 11-6, 11-2).
Henry faced challenges at the No. 7 position but pulled off the 3-0 sweep (11-9, 11-9, 12-10), while Bown was down 10-7 in the final game of a 2-2 tie but fought off three match balls for the 12-10 win in the fifth.
