LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's swimming team earned five overall wins against Dickinson on Saturday afternoon, but eventually fell 112-93 in Centennial Conference (CC) action. The Diplomats dropped to 5-4, 4-4 CC, while the Red Devils improved to 9-2-2, 4-0 CC.

In the first individual race of the afternoon, the 1000-yard freestyle, Katherine Grant touched the wall first with a time of 10:43.92. Her senior teammate Alexia Tomlinson finished third at 10:53.54, while Mary Ann Robison placed fourth with a time of 11:12.71.

F&M earned another first-place victory in the 50-yard freestyle when Jillian Albus touched first at 25.13, while Taylor Mateja finished third with a time of 26.73.

In the 200-yard individual medley, Courtney Collins placed first at 2:15.28. In the following race, the 200-yard butterfly, senior Maggie Johns finished third with a time of 2:17.80, while Tomlinson touched fourth at 2:23.56.

Albus earned another first-place victory in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.65, and in the next race, the 200-yard backstroke, Courtney Collins finished second at 2:12.19.

Grant captured nine points for the Diplomats with a first-place showing in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:15.34, but Dickinson finished the meet strong, picking up wins in the final two events en route to the 19-point defeat. 

F&M returns to the pool Saturday, when F&M travels to take on Gettysburg. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
