LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 10 Franklin & Marshall men's squash team battled, but ultimately fell to No. 11 Dartmouth by a 7-2 score on Thursday evening at the Mayser Center.
The Diplomats dropped to 3-3 on the season, while the Big Green improved to 2-0 with their other win coming in a 5-4 upset of No. 2 Harvard a week ago.
By the Numbers
All but one matchup on the day went beyond three games, with four reaching five frames. A pair of games on the evening went past 11 points, with Ricardo Machado (No. 9) falling in an opening-game marathon by a 17-15 score and Silvio Soom (No. 3) being edged out by an 14-12 mark in the decisive fifth. Kareem Nabil Abdel Mawla improved to a team-best 4-1 with his 3-2 win at the No. 7 position.
Heading into the match, the Diplomats held a two-match winning streak over the Big Green, dating back to the 2011-12 season.

Kenny Named POTW
Freshman Sean Kenny earned the men's Harrow Sports College Squash Player of the Week award for the week ending on 11/22. Kenny garnered the distinction after battling back from a 1-0 deficit against Princeton's Komron Shayegan to take the match by a 3-2 score (0-11, 9-11, 11-4, 11-8, 11-5) at the No. 5 spot in F&M's 5-4 win on Nov. 21.
